Undertstanding What To Bring Your Pet On A Stay
When you are boarding your dog for a stay at The Kennels, we will always encourage you (the pet owner) to bring a familiar item or 2 from home to allow your dog in his or her bed. The truth of the matter is - when it comes to comforts from home and diet, familiarity usually works best. Bedding from home is great, as long as the owner understands that the dog may not have that bed in his/her run all day....and that although the dog may respect the bed at home, he may play or chew on that same bedding in a different environment. The owner should feel comfortable enough with the facility to trust thier experience in matters like this - and understand substitute bedding.
Diet is such an important part of a dogs routine that you should feel comfortable bringing your pets food on the stay - especially if it is a special or veterinary diet. Here at the Kennels, we feed Purina Pro Plan when we provide the diet for your dog. Always ask what the dietary plan for your pet is - especially if you are not supplying the food! The more you know about your dogs voarding experience - the better it will be for you both.
