Doggie Daycare.
First of all - what is it?.....and how is it being offered. Doggie Daycare is not new to our area. It is offered, affordably in most cases, by several boarding establishments in Grayson County. The real question is - what are you and your dog getting for your daycare dollars?
These are always the best questions to have answers to as an owner -
!. Who is in charge and how do they integrate dogs into play groups? Do they have a plan?
2. Where are my dogs playing - indoors? outdoors? small groups? large groups? Will they be pet on all day or encouraged to interact with other canines?......the last one matters a lot - you want your dog to have to find his way socially with help. Try not to have your dog separated due to behavior issues - if and when they arrive, a seasoned day care facility will know how to handle it and put your dog in less stressful situations they can succeed in.
If you have secure answers to these questions, then Dog Daycare can be a great answer to giving a solid assist to behavioral training and overall behavior. The daycare events should stimulate your dog mentally and physically. The typical domesticated dog should feel the impact of a good day of daycare for a few days afterward. Your dog should be able to run full speed at daycare - and be silly......stimulating his natural social communicative skills.
We offer full days of daycare for 15$ - running on the front 6 acres, and playing socially to the dogs aptitude. We have dogs who live and work here, trained to give positive social signals and be submissive on command - to allow dogs of all social vocabulary to have interaction in a program structured by a certified behaviorist. Most of our daycare family are repeat clients who arrive off leash and jump into the social program themselves. Your dog should be happy to arrive at daycare, and ready to relax when he comes home.
