Thanksgiving at Grayson Shelter - Update

Hello All! Here is an update of where we stand with the Thanksgiving at Grayson Shelter on Nov 23rd.

-We have 5 turkeys so far for the day, as well as a few hams.

-We have quite a few desserts set up, but they are always a favorite and in need!

-We need a few more homemade sides - no matter the size of the dish. Homemade sides are always a hit!

-We have a few offers to "serve" already, and would like to encourage any families or individuals who want to do so - to also make a side dish or dessert (no matter the size) to assist with feeding ANYONE in need that day.

Remember we are also taking coats and sleeping bags also, these are given to those who aren't able to stay at the shelter for various reasons - including having a dog.

Remember, any food we have left over as the afternoon goes on - will be plated in to-go containers and delivered to a few spots we know will need it - like tent city, the viaduct, etc.

Don't be afraid to reach out to us if you have an idea or only have something small to offer, together we can make this a GREAT Thanksgiving. Thanks everyone, we sincerely are lucky to be a part of this community!
