In February I will begin to post dates available for our group walks. We will have all different sizes, breed, and experience as handlers on these walks - so typically we will be grouped in small (typically 5) handlers and their dogs. Once you have signed up for a group walk with your dog, we will agree on collaring and I will explain to you how to prepare your dog once you arrive at the location. All of our locations will be well lit and at public places (mostly parks).
All handlers will be responsible for their dog on the walk, and some of these walks will be specifically structured for handlers and dogs who struggle on leash for different reasons. I will be present on all walks and available to assist each handler -- however, most of you may find that the most useful info is given while watching and listening to other handlers who may struggle with the same or similar problems. At times we will be able to walk as a pack, but occasionally we will walk spaced by 10 feet with expected stops and opportunities to improve our leash work. Walks will typically last between 30 minute sand an hour and will continue from early spring through summer of this year. If you are not an existing client but are signing up, we will ask for a copy of your dogs vaccinations for the safety of all the walkers. No retractable leashes, only 6 ft. leads will be used, collaring will be discussed before you arrive but will likely be flat buckle plain. This will be a great exercise for most of you! See you guys soon.
